Why Things Happen

Why Things Happen: Understanding Karma. Saturday, May 9, 2020, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Understanding Karma

This course will be given by online live stream using Zoom.
In-person classes are suspended until further notice.

Most of us have heard of karma, but fewer have actually studied Buddha’s teachings on it. Karma is often thought of as a kind of punishment, but Buddha explained that it is simply cause and effect: our actions are causes and our experiences are their effects. Understanding karma is empowering, because it enables us to develop a very special patience and self-control that solve most of our daily problems.

In this live-streaming course, Gen Wangden will give clear, practical teachings on how to develop an understanding of karma not just in our heads, but in the depths of our hearts. Through this we can take control of our lives and create the cause for lasting happiness. Join us to experience how a deep understanding of karma can empower you, prevent future suffering, and create a basic foundation for the path to enlightenment.
