Start the Year with Compassion

As 2019 comes to an end, our thoughts turn to new beginnings and a fresh start. The best way to lift our hearts and start fresh is to meditate on compassion. It is said that compassion is a supreme inner wealth that is an inexhaustible source of benefit for us in both this and future lives. Compassion purifies our mind, gives us tremendous energy to help others, and creates a deep inner peace in our hearts that cannot be distrubed by changing conditions.

On New Year’s Eve, join us for a special teaching and guided meditation on compassion. Gen Wangden will explain how to develop a pure compassion that gives us energy and prevents fatigue. And we will end with prayers to Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion.
