Shelter from the Storm

Our lives are full of uncertainty, and things often go wrong suddenly. And if we’re honest, most of the things we turn to for security and protection do not really do the job.

This situation is not new. Buddha taught 2,500 years ago that human life is full of suffering that we cannot prevent through external methods. To help us find real protection, he taught the practice of refuge—a method to develop a lasting peace of mind. Come to learn a practice that protects us from fear and worry, and ultimately helps us develop the supreme permanent inner peace of nirvana.
