Simple Buddhist Methods to Create Happiness
Often we seek happiness where it cannot be found: career, relationships, entertainment, etc. While these things can bring us some superficial happiness for a short time, they often bring many problems as well. The truth is, happiness is a state of mind and the real source of happiness is inner peace.
Buddha taught practical methods to cultivate the positive states of mind that create true happiness. The simplest and most effective of these methods is called “rejoicing”. It is so easy that we can do it while relaxing or working, even during a busy day or while lying in bed. Rejoicing overcomes the inner poisons of jealousy and discouragement, and generates a deep well of positive energy in our hearts. In this course you will learn how to practice this supreme virtue both in meditation and in the course of your daily activities.
