Creating a Sacred Space

When life is stressful, it helps to have a quiet place for contemplation and relaxation. This class is an opportunity to understand the beauty and power of setting up a Buddhist shrine in your home that will help you to focus your energy for spiritual practice. We will explore the meaning behind the symbols and sacred objects, as well as essential aspects of setting up a shrine, making offerings and reciting prayers for meditation. These crucial elements of regular practice help us to experience the joy and purpose of meditation.

Menlha Kadampa Buddhist Center is located on Coryell Street between George Street and Main Street, two blocks north of Bridge Street. There is free parking available on the other side of Main Street and starting one block north, on York Street.
